The University of Nottingham is a pioneering institution providing an exceptional research-led education and an outstanding experience for 45,000 students from more than 150 countries. Our staff are world-class too. Nottingham academics have won two Nobel Prizes – for medicine and for economic sciences. We have five faculties: Arts, Engineering, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences. In the recent Research Excellence Framework, 28 units were judged to have 75% or more outstanding (4* and 3*) impact, and Nottingham was ranked eighth in the UK on a measure of research power.
