Job Description:
Six-month fixed term role managing & promoting scholarships & prizes, ensuring accurate administration, compliance, reporting, & a positive, well‑supported scholar experience.
Mō te tūka | The role
This role supports the promotion, administration, and financial tracking of scholarships and prizes, ensuring strong regulatory, contractual, and pastoral care outcomes for scholars. You’ll work closely with colleagues, students, and external partners to deliver accurate processes and a supportive end‑to‑end experience.
Some key tasks of the role include:
- Promoting, setting up, and administering scholarships and prizes in line with regulations
- Coordinating scholarship and doctoral selection processes and panels
- Managing scholarship payments, invoicing, and financial tracking
- Preparing reports, including quarterly scholarship reporting and committee papers
- Liaising with sponsors, internal teams, and external partners
- Supporting scholarship activities, events, and pastoral care initiatives
Based in our Student Administration team, you’ll contribute to seamless student journeys by collaborating across the University and with key stakeholders, supporting internally funded, trust, and externally managed scholarships.
Mahi & Wāhi / Utu | Work pattern, location & salary
This six-month fixed term role based at our Lincoln Campus and works 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE). The salary for this position is circa $65,000 to $70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You will bring:
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in a complex administrative environment
- Proven accuracy, strong attention to detail, and confidence working with policies and compliance
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure
- A strong customer service mindset, with an empathetic and respectful approach
- Sound understanding of the tertiary education environment, ideally including scholarships
- Clear, effective communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships
