    Lecturers (Teaching and Research), Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences

Can you contribute to innovative research‑led teaching and support an excellent student experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes? Are you committed to working collaboratively, contributing to an inclusive and supportive School community, and engaging in active academic citizenship?

    We are seeking to appoint a number of Lecturers who will contribute to the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Science’s academic mission through research, teaching, and academic citizenship. Opportunities are available in the School of Civil Engineering, School of Computer Science, School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, School of Maths and School of Mechanical Engineering.

    These roles involve building and maintaining a high-quality, internationally recognised research programme aligned with the School’s priorities, with active collaboration and external funding engagement. You will deliver research-led teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contribute to curriculum innovation, and support an inclusive, high-quality student experience through supervision and mentoring. The role also includes administrative and service duties, collaboration with colleagues, and support for the University’s commitments to excellence and inclusion. Opportunities may also include transnational teaching, with up to six weeks overseas per academic year.
