Job Description:
The Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Southampton is welcoming applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of advanced manufacturing and materials. The research will be conducted within the Computational Engineering & Design Group of the Department, on a fixed term - full time contract for a duration of 33 months.
The role
The role is an Innovation Action within a Horizon Europe funded research project coordinated by the University of Southampton that will deliver an Industry 5.0 AI-enabled digital framework that streamlines remanufacturing in the automotive sector. You will need to lead the methodological framework for remanufacturing in the automotive sector in collaboration with the consortium participants from 9 different countries.
About you
You will hold a PhD or equivalent and will already be demonstrating potential for research excellence in your postdoctoral activity. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative and stimulating environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities, and necessary resources to conduct high-quality research.
