This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.
The School of Computer Science, based on our Jubilee Campus, is looking to appoint an outstanding leader to the post of Operations Manager.

As a key member of the Operations Leadership Team, you will:
- Provide high-quality, customer-focused operational support, and leadership
- Contribute to the strategic objectives and deliverables of the School
- Provide an outstanding service that supports the School to deliver high-quality education and general operational services, including financial/budgetary management and health and safety.
- Work with both academic and administrative leadership in the School to plan and deliver administrative service in the School.
- Coordinate all areas of administration to ensure sustainable operations across the School, identifying gaps in policy/processes and will have responsibility for coordinating/designing and delivering solutions and systems to resolve the gaps.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the School, Faculty, and the wider University to provide a coordinated and consistent service to both staff, students, and visitors.
You will:
- Demonstrate a commitment to nurturing and developing the talents of a team
- Have excellent operational management, organisation, and planning skills
- Have proven leadership and motivation skills
- Have excellent relationship management and communication skills; with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences
- Have proven skills in analysing, interpreting, and presenting data and management information in a clear, concise manner.
This is a fixed-term position offered for 12 months, to cover a period of maternity leave. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours).
