Do you have what it takes to work in a busy financial environment? Would you like to be part of a busy Accounts Receivable team supporting a vibrant Faculty? Do you have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work in a busy and fast paced environment ? Do you have strong communication skills and enjoy working with people?
The role is based within the Finance Service but will be working as part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health and the Faculty of Biological Sciences Financial Accounting team. The team has responsibility for the processing of all (non-research and consultancy) sales invoices and credit notes (approximately 1700 invoices per annum). You will also be responsible processing On-Line Store requests (approximately 50 per annum) for Medicine and Health and Biological Sciences. You will report into the Team Leader (Accounts Receivable). Workloads will need to be managed and prioritised accordingly. You will have significant Finance experience (preferably in an accounts receivable/sales ledger environment); have excellent numeracy and literacy skills and an understanding of sales invoicing and credit note procedures. You will be proficient in using PC based systems, including Word, Excel and Outlook. You will have the ability to complete a job to a high standard and to deadlines. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
You will be based in the Faculty Finance Office but will need to work closely with colleagues across the Faculty and Central Services. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people and possess the ability to work flexibly as part of a team and on your own initiative.
