A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the Corporate Finance Team, in the role of Finance Systems Development Manager reporting to Head of Finance - Corporate.
About the role
As an expert in finance systems and making best use of them, the Finance Systems Development Manager will be responsible for the integrity of data supporting the University’s external returns (e.g. OfS / TRAC), maintaining and developing planning and reporting systems, project managing improvements to existing data and process integrations, providing product expertise in the development of new integrations and project managing the deployment of new functionality within existing finance systems .
Following the successful implementation of a new finance, HR and procurement system, you will play a key role in maximising the benefit of the new system through improved functionality, reporting, financial analysis and financial control.
About the team
Based in the Corporate Finance team you will work closely with the existing finance systems manager and colleagues in Digital and Technology Services (DTS). You will be part of a diverse finance team covering external reporting, treasury, subsidiary accounting with direct access to the wider finance function in various different forums.
About you
The ideal candidate:
- Has extensive experience in financial systems (knowledge of Oracle Fusion is essential)
- Has experience of supporting financial systems’ development in a large and complex organisation
- Has experience of the Higher Education sector (ideal – not essential)
- Is a strong communicator at all levels
- Has experience of supporting change management
