Are you an enthusiastic clinician-educator looking for an opportunity to influence undergraduate medical education in psychiatry and mental health? If yes, then this part-time fixed term role may be of interest.
The role of a Clinical Associate Lecturer will involve working on both the University of Kent and the Canterbury Christ Church University campuses in Canterbury and Medway. You will contribute to the ongoing development and quality assurance of the KMMS undergraduate medical programme with a focus on the psychiatry and mental health curriculum and delivery.
As a Clinical Associate Lecturer (Mental Health) you can expect to be involved in:
- Developing teaching content, delivery and evaluation using experience of current clinical practice with a focus on mental health related content
- Using expertise in current clinical practice, ensuring that the learning and teaching materials for campus-based, online and placement teaching are developed and implemented so that KMMS students have an excellent experience across the curriculum and are prepared for clinical placements in all years with useful contemporary and accessible knowledge
- Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development and curriculum changes
What will you bring to the role?
- A primary medical qualification and full registration with the GMC, with a current licence to practise
- Fellowship/Membership of an appropriate Royal College or equivalent
- Successful teaching of healthcare students in a university or clinical environment to undergraduate degree or at a post-graduate level
