Activities Coordinator (Charity & Liberation)
- University of Southampton
- United Kingdom, LND
- Jun 30, 2026
Job Description:
The Role
This role focuses on supporting and developing society activity within charity, liberation and political societies. A large part of the work involves building strong relationships with around 50 student groups, mainly centred on charity fundraising and student volunteering, and political and liberation themes. You will work closely with students to help them reach their goals, address any challenges they face, and make sure activities are run in a way that is sustainable, safe and inclusive. The role also sits within a wider team that supports over 450 student groups and delivers major events across the organisation, including SUSU Freshers, Elections, Awards and Varsity.
About You
You are committed to volunteer development and the student experience, and enjoy spending time out in the community to build strong, positive relationships with student volunteers. You’ll be comfortable juggling multiple projects and confident in managing and prioritising your own workload. You’ll also bring experience in planning and delivering events, and be confident taking responsibility for health and safety and compliance across student groups. This includes making sure processes are followed, actions are taken when needed, and any issues are escalated promptly and appropriately.
