We are seeking to appoint Clinical Teaching Fellows (CTFs) to support the on-going delivery of the graduate entry MBChB programme within the Three Counties Medical School (TCMS) at the University of Worcester. The School’s MBChB curriculum is centred around problem-based learning (PBL), active applied learning (e.g. simulation), with an emphasis on early patient contact and community-orientated clinical placements. Founded with the aim of widening access to careers in medicine and retaining graduates in the local area, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team, which opened to students in September 2023. Applications are invited for Clinical Teaching Fellows at 0.6 FTE (3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in Anatomy, Physiology and Clinical Skills. These are career development posts at FY2/ST level to facilitate the learning of the next generation of doctors. You will be involved in developing and delivering active learning sessions in the practical application of anatomy, physiology and clinical skills primarily in Phase 1 (Years 1&2). You will receive training from a team of enthusiastic clinical educators and will have opportunities for professional development, including support with gaining a teaching qualification. Applicants will have a keen interest in medical education and training. Applicants must be registered with the GMC and have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience after graduation from medical school. The Medical School has close relations with local NHS primary and secondary care providers, and we can support you in seeking clinical opportunities alongside academic commitments.⯠The posts are based at the Severn campus. They will be fixed term appointments for 12 months. About the role –We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated researcher to join an exciting project investigating the genetic factors underlying accelerated brain ageing in people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). In this role, you will work with largeâscale data resources, including genomic and transcriptomic datasets, and link these findings with populationâbased health record data.You will be responsible for planning and conducting highâquality research using appropriate analytical and methodological approaches. This includes contributing to study design, implementing statistical and computational techniques, and interpreting complex datasets. A key part of the role will involve preparing your research outputs for publication in peerâreviewed journals and presenting findings within internal and external research networks.This position also offers the opportunity to contribute creatively to the direction of the project— identifying promising areas for further investigation, developing new analytical methods, and strengthening your research portfolio in genomic medicine and neurodegenerative disease.About the team-You will join a wellâestablished and collaborative research group at the University of Nottingham, led by Drâ¯Karim Kreft, Clinical Associate Professor and Honorary Consultant Neurologist. The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1300 people and provide a wide range of services across our U.K sites.A qualified and experienced Maintenance Craftsperson is required to work within the Estates Department at either University Park, Jubilee Campus or the Medical School at the Queens Medical Centre undertaking planned and reactive maintenance to University Buildings. You will liaise with customers and other University departments to ensure work is carried out in an efficient and cost effective manner; completing pre and post task documentation to ensure records of work are maintained and accurate.Candidates should be qualified to NVQ 2 or equivalent in an appropriate building services engineering discipline such as Heating Engineering or Plumbing and have experience of working within a mechanical services/plumbing maintenance environment. You should also have a thorough understanding of the operation and repair of heating and ventilation systems.
