Fixed term role for 12 months - There is a need for maternity coverThis role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangementsThe Senior Development Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of alumni, trusts, foundations and friends of the University capable of making gifts at the six and seven figure plus level. Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Advancement Team and the wider university, you will engage prospective donors using your skills stakeholder development to build relationships and secure significant and transformational gift donations in support of philanthropic priorities which are aligned with the University’s Universal Values, Global Change 2020-2030 strategy.You will also lead a small team of major gift fundraisers, motivating them to maximise the giving value from their own fundraising portfolios. The role sits within a growing Transformational & Major Giving team and is crucial to success at a time of investment and expansion in the Advancement Team.In order to be successful in this role, you will have a sustained track record of raising donations at 6 figures and above, capability to work with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation to craft bespoke fundraising propositions and the ability to lead and motivate a small team of major gift fundraisers.Please note that this post may be suitable for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route but first-time applicants might need to qualify for salary concessions. This is a 12 month temporary position. Procurement at Lancaster has undergone significant transformation in recent years. Your main role will be to undertake the order processing activity including understanding customer needs, processing requisitions and expediting deliveries. You will have effective numeracy, literacy and word processing skills and be able to present information relating to the progress of work.You will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be trained in procurement and will learn to provide procurement advice in accordance with the University's Financial Regulations and Procurement Procedures. You need to be a team player and able to work with other colleagues in our travel and accounts payable team, providing assistance during busy periods for any of the three areas of the purchase to pay function.We operate hybrid working and this role can be effectively delivered from home with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office. We are looking for an experienced researcher whose expertise lies in mechanistic cardiac electrophysiology modelling, to work with Prof. Gary Mirams and Prof. Simon Preston on an externally-funded project entitled “A continually-learning framework for uncertainty quantification and translation of preclinical studies to human cardiovascular safety”. The aim of the project is to develop a statistical decision-support tool that quantifies the accuracy of mechanistic electrophysiology model predictions for drug-induced changes to electrophysiology observed in animal cardiovascular safety studies.We believe that our talented and inclusive teams deliver the highest quality research and are seeking applications from quality candidates who enhance the diversity of our existing team.
