Based in the Security Control Room, you will be the first point of contact for emergencies, provide customer-focused support, and coordinate operational security and parking services across the campus. Your responsibilities will include: Responding to phone and walk-in enquiries with professionalism and empathy. Issuing parking permits, managing fleet and master keys, and supporting Canterbury Card and Cardax access. Monitoring the 24-hour CCTV and access control systems. Coordinating emergency responses and liaising with emergency services. Supervising after-hours security operations and contracted security staff. Mōu | Who You AreYou are a dedicated and experienced professional with: 1–2 years’ experience in security, facilities, frontline services, or another relevant role that demonstrates awareness of safety, incident response, or operational procedures. At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service-focused role. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to exceptional service. Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly. A full NZ driver’s licence. Building on Lancaster’s reputation as one of the UK’s largest cyber and data research communities the School of Computing & Communications (SCC) wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow to assist with the design, delivery and ongoing improvement of lab-based modules on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This is a full-time position for a one year fixed period and offers the opportunity to help deliver a truly world-class education experience in computer science and cyber-security.You should be able to demonstrate a strong computer science background and excellence in lab-based teaching at University level with experience of teaching on a range of cyber-security related courses. The ideal candidate will have strong programming, systems and computational problem solving and software design skills. Duties include: contributing to curriculum development where appropriate, delivery of lab-based teaching, marking and assessment of coursework, supporting students with exam preparation and revision techniques, and participating in teaching reviews and quality assurance processes.We are particularly looking for candidates who are passionate about creating an outstanding lab-based learning environment. Particularly desirable specialist knowledge areas include cyber-security, computer networking, operating systems and systems programming. Lancaster is the only university in the North West that has attained National Cyber Security Centre recognition as an Academic Centre of Excellence in both Cyber Security Research and Education, along with delivering an NCSC Certified Master’s Degree.
