These connections enable us to further deliver impactful research and improve the student learning experience.About you - Extending expertise and excellenceConnecting more widely with key businesses and major public sector organisations is a key aim of the University Southampton Business School’s new strategy. In this varied and challenging role, you’ll work closely with the school’s Associate Dean for Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise to develop our business interface and partnerships agenda, building new partnership initiatives to help drive our business school forward. You’ll help us nurture a range of collaborations that showcase our impact and generate revenue for the school.You’ll focus on identifying partners, establishing relationships, and developing and promoting our services. Constantly on the look-out for ways to embed partnerships and external interactions in the core curriculum, you’ll also work on a range of non-accredited short courses for the School.On top of this, you’ll develop ideas for a wide range of enterprise activities and partnerships with businesses, and organise ways to connect with the business community, including conferences, seminars and master classes.You’ll bring significant experience of building and sustaining partnerships in a commercial context or between an academic and commercial context. While a background in higher education is not essential, you’ll have a keen appreciation of current trends and issues in higher education. An enterprising self-starter, with strong project management skills, you’ll have the ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and negotiate productive partnerships.
