The Faculty of Arts and Humanities brings together Winchester School of Art and the School of Humanities, spanning art and design, music and film, literature and language, and history, archaeology, and philosophy disciplines.

Applications are invited from suitably skilled and experienced candidates for the position of Senior Administrator (International) in the Arts and Humanities Faculty International Unit (FIU), a small, collegial, and dynamic team, driving the delivery of the Faculty’s international strategy in collaboration with the academic community and professional services. The post is based primarily at the Avenue Campus, with opportunity to work at Winchester School of Art and Highfield campuses, as well as from home for approximately 40% of the time. The post is available on a full-time basis, however we support flexible working and will consider part-time/ job share applications. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis to cover the substantive post holder's secondment.

The post holder will be responsible for the:

  • Provision of proactive executive support to the Associate Dean (International), including diary management and committee support
  • Provision of effective administrative support to the local international environment, helping to foster and celebrate a stimulating and diverse community within the Faculty
  • Organisation of incoming and outgoing international delegations, coordinating itineraries and schedules, visas, travel, accommodation, and health and safety compliance

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Skills in high quality, value-added administrative and operational support to senior managers
  • Demonstrable understanding of the value of internationalisation in Higher Education
  • Skills in event coordination, including international business travel
  • Experience of inclusive and compassionate people management is highly desirable
