The Role

The Surrey Research Park at the University of Surrey is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to join our facilities Management team. This role is essential in ensuring in person interface with our tenants and their guests and the smooth operation and maintenance of our research park facilities, providing exceptional support to our tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To undertake front of house duties, including a welcoming, efficient, helpful and informative first point of contact for all users of the reception and to assist in dealing with customer complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible. Answer all incoming switchboard calls as per agreed service levels providing information to the caller and transfer the call to the appropriate source as required.
  2. To ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all marketing materials up to date and on display.
  3. To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing, switchboard and visitor registration, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
  4. Unlocking and locking building
  5. Internal comms to all tenants to STC and SRP
  6. Fire Warden duties including managing alarm process
  7. Managing post deliveries /collections and record keeping
  8. Manging meeting room bookings and queries
  9. Parking Permit printing for STC register management
  10. Key management and key registry
