Job Description:

The Nottingham Clinical Trials unit is seeking to recruit an experienced Clinical Trial Manager to work within our multidisciplinary team to ensure successful delivery of trials. Reporting to the Senior Trial Manager, you will work closely with the Chief Investigator, other researchers and clinicians to ensure efficient and successful completion of the trial. You will be responsible for supervising the activities of other members of the research team.

About you:

You should have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, and/or significant experience as a clinical trial manager/coordinator, along with a track record of successful project management of clinical research. You should have experience of working within multidisciplinary teams with significant skills in understanding and applying knowledge to address complex problems and challenges.

NCTU is a rapidly growing UK Clinical Research Collaboration registered Clinical Trials Unit (www.ukcrc-ctu.org.uk) based in the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Our mission is to conduct top quality, high impact multicentre clinical trials across a range of health areas which will improve health outcomes. We have a broad and expanding portfolio of trials. In addition, we conduct methodological work to improve the efficiency and quality of trial design, conduct, analysis and reporting. The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may also be considered.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

This role can either be fully office-based or open to a hybrid working model with a blended approach of home and office working. Typically, you will work a minimum of 2 - 3 days (pro-rata) per week on campus.
