Department of Fashion & Textiles
The Department of Fashion & Textiles is the school’s largest department, offering design, leadership & strategy, and marketing education, at undergraduate, taught-postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The department supports one of the largest international student communities in Europe studying fashion leadership, marketing, management, and strategy programmes, whilst sustaining a long-held reputation for the nurturing of high-level design practice and craft-based skills.
The role
This role is committed to preserving and enhancing our growing national and international reputation in Textile Design, encompassing both traditional heritage techniques and advanced, specialist design and technical knowledge of contemporary print design in this ever-evolving field. The primary focus of this position is to provide high-quality education that seamlessly aligns with the broader objectives of our school and the university's overall strategy.
About You
You are a highly qualified and passionate individual with a master's degree in Textile Design and knowledge of undergraduate Fashion Design, with a strong academic background and a proven track record of excellence in teaching and undertaking assessment at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will play a vital role in shaping the future of Textile Design education and contribute to the development of innovative learning and teaching approaches while working alongside a talented group of educators and researchers.
