Do you have strong organisational skills with the ability to problem solve to deliver excellent customer services? Do you have experience of supporting people to use information or experience within a library or information-rich environment?
We have an exciting opportunities for both a full time ( 1FTE ) and Part time (0.50) to join our team as Divisional Library Services Administrator. The full-time role is permanent and the part-time role is fixed term for 24 months
The Divisional Library Services team delivers our award-winning Reading List Service to provide the learning and research resources students need. The team also supports students, staff and visitors to engage with our excellent library collections through training and events. You will support the work of the Divisional Librarian team to ensure our services provide excellent services to our academic divisions.
As a member of the Divisional Library Services Team, you can expected to be involved with:
- Ordering library materials within set budgets and deliver reading list training and support for academic and administrative colleagues.
- Providing information, advice and training to students and staff via a range of enquiry and communication channels, including for induction, outreach and events.
- Assisting with planning, monitoring and reporting of activities and services, ensuring effective communication with Divisions.
- Liaising with researchers to capture research outputs, to deliver excellent research support services to Divisions.
- Providing administrative support to support effective delivery of internal and external activities.
What you will bring to the role:
- Formal or vocational qualifications (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, NVQ Level 2 or alternative equivalent qualifications), and/or learning gained through work experience.
- Experience of working in a similar role in a library or information environment.
- Good IT skills
