If you have experience of supervising staff in an entertainment environment and excellent customer service skills, this part time role (16 hours per week) provides an excellent opportunity for you. We are recruiting a Front of House Supervisor to supervise the public attending and participating in Gulbenkian activities. You will ensure that safety and customer care have the highest priority at all times.
You will enjoy a fast-paced dynamic environment, leading by example to influence and inspire your team to consistently deliver above expectations. You will have a strong eye for detail and be able to think decisively and effectively on your feet.
The work is mostly evenings, including weekends but daytime cover and bank holiday working will be required. Gulbenkian can be operational for seven days a week. Flexible team working is a requirement of the post.
As Front of House Supervisor you can expect to be involved in:
- Provide guidance, support and supervision to your staff
- Ensure the safety and customer care of the public engaging in Gulbenkian activity, regularly secure the building, follow Health and Safety and Cash Handling policies and procedures
- Deliver Gulbenkian customer values ‘Welcoming & engaging everybody, behaving professionally & keeping informed, staying attentive & taking the initiative’
What will you bring to the role?
- GCSE English and Maths grade C/4 and above or equivalent
- Experience of working with the public and providing excellent customer service
- Experience of supervising staff within an entertainment environment
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work unsociable and flexible hours
