The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
We are seeking an experienced and strategic International Conversion Lead to develop and deliver university‑wide international applicant‑to‑enrolment conversion strategies.
This is a senior specialist role playing a critical part in strengthening AUT’s international growth, reputation, and applicant experience by optimising conversion pathways from first contact through to enrolment and arrival. Reporting to the Director Student Hub, the International Conversion Lead provides leadership across international conversion activities, working collaboratively with faculties, Brand & Marketing, the International Office, Student Services teams, and external partners.
You will provide practice leadership to the end‑to‑end service design and improvement across the international applicant experience, ensuring a seamless, data‑informed, and student‑centred experience for international applicants and their influencers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and optimisation, of a university‑wide international conversion service delivery model
- Leadership and coordination of applicant‑facing conversion initiatives aligned with the AUT brand
- Monitoring and tracking data and information, reporting trends, and providing insights
- Development and maintenance of strong partnerships with key stakeholders
About you | Ko wai koe
You will be a confident, analytical, and relationship‑focused professional with a strong track record in international education, service design, or conversion‑focused roles.
In addition, you will:
- hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum six years’ relevant experience
- strong understanding of higher education admissions, fees, enrolment, and conversion systems
- strong analytical capability and confidence using data to inform decisions
