Do you have experience coordinating complex projects and working with a wide range of stakeholders?
This part-time (0.6FTE) project management opportunity within the School of Social Sciences will see you contributing to an important research project exploring the socio-ethical implications of emerging science.
Supporting the delivery of the Wellcome-funded project, Care-full Synthesis: Advancing Global Engagement on the Socio-Ethical Implications of Synthesising Human Genomes, you will work closely with Professor Joy Y. Zhang to ensure the successful delivery of project activities through effective coordination, communication and project management.
As Project Manager you can expect to be involved in:
- Supporting the delivery of project objectives and ensuring activities are completed to agreed timescales.
- Coordinating communication and engagement with external partners, collaborators and research participants.
- Managing project logistics, including events, travel arrangements and financial administration.
- Liaising with internal departments to support the effective administration and governance of the project.
What will you bring to the role?
- A recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM), or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience of managing complex academic activities or projects.
- Experience of working effectively with external partners and a range of internal stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
